Another Ravelry download pattern, but this one alone is worth the free sign up. I made the first Twizzler hat as a donation hat for Nerd Wars - it was too small for a grown up, but I learnt a bit about the vagrancies of the pattern.

Then Miss Six's teacher had a birthday, which she told me about the night before.

And then Master Seven had a birthday party for a girl in his class, and couldn't figure out what he wanted to get her (except for a $40 doll... er, no) so this was another last minute gift.

Everybody loves these hats though. The spiral is formed by post stitches, so it looks much more complex than it actually is, and makes an ordinary beanie stand out from the crowd.
