So, for my first ever knitting project, I sure picked a doozy. 80" of garter stitch. Admittedly on 12mm needles, but it still seemed to take forever. I'm thoroughly in love with garter stitch though.


It's just a long rectangle, with either end seamed to make sleeves - a scarf with sleeve, but surprisingly versatile. Not sure you'd need the free pattern from the Lion Brand website, but they do have a few better photos on how to wear it than I do.
