I needed a quick shawl to go with the strapless dress I got for my best friend's wedding. (Although it ended up being 40°C, so I didn't need it), so I found this popular and pretty free pattern on Ravelry. It's called 'My Blue Jeans Shawl' and you can find the pattern on the creator's website.
